Last Updated: Nov 14, 2018 10:48AM PST
You can use the following steps to move the database to a new location. Please note the new database location has to be always accessible before the launch of the program and during the time when the program is running.

Here is the example for moving ACDSee Pro 2019 to a new location:

1) Close ACDSee Pro 2019

2) Create a folder in the location to which you want to move the current database, e.g. D:\Pro2019_DB\

3) Start ACDSee Pro 2019 and click File | Database | New.. and then created a new database in "D:\Pro2019_DB\". You can give the database a new name, e.g. "Pro2019DB".

4) Click Yes and then OK to create a new database and switch to that new database

5) Close ACDSee Pro 2019

6) In Windows File Explorer, copy all the ACDSee Pro 2019 database files from the default database location of Pro 2019, which is  "C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Local\ACD Systems\Catalogs\12.0Pro\Default".

*Note, if you cannot view the 'AppData'  folder in Windows Explorer, please try:
1. Click Tools (or View) | Folder Options in Windows Explorer, or Click Control Panel | Folder Options
2. Click the View tab.
3. Select Show Hidden Files and Folders.
4. Click Apply and OK

7) Paste them into the folder you created in step 2 and 3, "D:\Pro2019_DB\". Confirm to replace the files in the destination folder

8) Start ACDSee Pro 2019 and the ACDSee database is transferred to the new location.

After verification of this new ACDSee database, you can remove your old ACDSee database files at "C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Local\ACD Systems\Catalogs\12.0Pro\
